Newsletter — Summer 2025

As I sit down to write this summer’s newsletter, I’m filled with a sense of pride and wonder at how far we’ve come. When I first dreamed of starting Dynamicmotif back in 2014, it was exactly that — a dream. A small, delicate idea that lived quietly in my imagination. I never could have imagined the incredible journey it would take me on. And now, here we are in 2025, over a decade later, and Dynamicmotif has grown into something truly beautiful — something far beyond my wildest dreams.

What began with a single class and a whole lot of hope has become Erewash’s first choice for dance and performing arts. From Ockbrook to Borrowash, Risley to Draycott, and stretching out to West Hallam, Spondon and Castle Donington, Dynamicmotif has become a creative home for so many wonderful families in our community. I feel so humbled that so many parents have chosen us, and that so many children have stepped into our classes week after week, year after year, ready to dance, express, and grow.

The last 11 years have been nothing short of magical. I’ve had the privilege of watching countless children take their very first steps in a ballet class, and then years later, stand tall on stage as confident, graceful young adults. That transformation is the most rewarding part of being a teacher and Principal. It’s not just about dance steps — it’s about nurturing self-belief, resilience, friendships, and dreams.

This year, at our upcoming showcase on Sunday 29th June 2025, we will be honouring three incredible young ladies who are graduating from Dynamicmotif. These pupils have been with us for most of their childhood, and it’s a moment filled with both joy and a few tears as we prepare to see them take their next steps into the world.

Cerys has been with us for over 11 years. I remember her as a bright-eyed little one in our Saturday preschool classes at Friesland School. From those early days, she has blossomed into a graceful and determined dancer, and it’s been my absolute pleasure to have watched her grow both in her technique and her confidence.

Emma joined us in 2015, one of our very first pupils at the Borrowash branch. She brought with her a spark and energy that lit up the room, and over the past nine years, she has become not just a committed student, but a true role model to the younger dancers around her.

Izzy became part of our academy in 2016 at our Ockbrook branch. Since then, she has flourished into a passionate and expressive performer who embodies the heart of Dynamicmotif — creativity, kindness, and dedication.

To Cerys, Emma and Izzy — it has been a privilege to walk alongside you on this journey. Thank you for bringing your light, laughter and love for the arts into our studios and onto our stages. I hope that as you take flight and move into university life and future careers, you carry with you all the lessons learned here — not just the choreography, but the confidence, the connection, and the courage to be yourselves. Always know that you will forever be part of the Dynamicmotif family, no matter where life leads you.

To all our families, thank you for being part of our story. Your trust and support mean the world to me. Here’s to a wonderful summer of dancing, growing, and celebrating everything that makes Dynamicmotif so special.

With love and pride,
Miss Jackie
Principal, Dynamicmotif Dance and Performing Arts Academy
