Looking Back on a Wonderful Academic Year
As another academic year draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on what has been a truly memorable year at Dynamicmotif Dance & Performing Arts Academy.
The 2025–2026 academic year has been filled with achievement, growth, new experiences and, most importantly, so many wonderful moments shared by our pupils, families and teachers.
From our youngest pupils taking their very first steps into performing arts, to our graduating students preparing to begin the next chapter of their lives, it has been a year that has reminded us exactly why we do what we do.
Celebrating Our Dynamicmotif Graduates
One of the most emotional and memorable moments of our summer was our 2026 Graduation Ceremony, held during the third and final performance of our Annual Showcase at our new venue, Repton Theatre.
This year, we said a very special farewell to five exceptional young women:
Abi, Ellie, Hope, Lottie and Natalie.
Each of these girls has been such an important part of the Dynamicmotif family. They have grown alongside the academy over many years, with some having been with us for almost the entire 12 years since we first opened our doors, and others having been part of our journey for around eight years.
Standing on the stage at their graduation ceremony gave me, as Principal, a very special opportunity to reflect publicly on just how far each of them has travelled — not simply as dancers and performers, but as young women.
We have watched them grow from little girls into confident, capable and determined young adults, each with their own talents, personalities, ambitions and dreams. And now, they are ready to fly the Dynamicmotif nest.
Their destinations could not be more varied, and that is something we are incredibly proud of.
Two of our graduates will be heading to professional dance conservatoires in London, taking the next step towards careers within the professional dance industry.
Another has secured a professional apprenticeship in administration and finance within local government, beginning an exciting career beyond the performing arts.
Our remaining two graduates will be heading to university, one to study healthcare and the other primary education.
Five young women. Five very different futures.
And yet, each of them takes a little piece of Dynamicmotif with them.
We know that the academy, and the many teachers who have supported them throughout their years with us, have played a small part in helping them to become the people they are today.
Whether through dance, drama, singing, examinations, performances, friendships, challenges or simply the everyday experience of being part of our academy, we hope they leave knowing that they will always be part of the Dynamicmotif family.
We could not be prouder of them.
Abi, Ellie, Hope, Lottie and Natalie — we wish you every happiness and success as you begin this exciting next chapter. You will always have a home at Dynamicmotif.

A Showcase to Remember
Our 2026 Annual Showcase was another very special highlight of the academic year.
This year marked our first Showcase at Repton Theatre, and what a wonderful experience it was for our pupils, teachers and families.
Across our three performances, we welcomed more than 300 pupils in each show, giving hundreds of young people the opportunity to experience the excitement of performing on stage.
Our youngest performers were just three years old and, for some, this was their very first Dynamicmotif Showcase.
We were particularly delighted to see pupils who had only joined us during this academic year take to the stage with such confidence — including children who joined our Ockbrook branch in September 2025 and our Risley branch in January 2026.
From our youngest Butterfly & Dragonfly pupils to our graduating students, every performer had a part to play.
Behind every performance were weeks and months of rehearsals, learning choreography, remembering formations, developing confidence, supporting friends and, of course, working incredibly hard.
We would like to congratulate every single pupil who performed.
We hope you enjoyed every second of your Showcase experience and that you will carry those memories with you for many years to come.
A huge thank you must also go to our wonderful teaching team, backstage team, chaperones, volunteers and families for helping to make the Showcase such a success.

Celebrating Achievement Beyond the Stage
The end of the academic year has also been a time to celebrate the dedication and commitment of our pupils who have continued to work towards their formal qualifications.
This summer, four of our pupils have undertaken the IDTA Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma, taking an exciting step towards developing their knowledge, skills and experience within dance teaching.
We have also supported private lesson candidates preparing for Grade 2, Grade 3 and Grade 5 ballet examinations.
We would like to wish every pupil who has taken an examination or qualification this term the very best of luck.
We know how much hard work, preparation and determination goes into reaching examination day, and we are incredibly proud of each of you.
We look forward to receiving the results over the coming weeks and celebrating your achievements with you.
Another Year of Growth
As we look back, we are reminded that an academy is about so much more than the classes that take place each week.
- It is about watching a shy three-year-old find their confidence.
- It is about seeing a pupil master something they once thought they couldn’t do.
- It is about friendships that develop over many years.
- It is about giving children and young people opportunities to perform, achieve, lead and challenge themselves.
- It is about discovering talents and developing skills that will stay with them long after they leave the studio.
And, ultimately, it is about helping young people to become confident, resilient and capable individuals who believe in themselves.
That is the privilege of running Dynamicmotif.
Looking Ahead to September
While we may be taking a well-earned summer break, plans are already well underway for the new academic year.
We are delighted to be preparing for the reopening of Dynamicmotif Dance & Performing Arts Academy for the Autumn Term, with classes returning across all seven of our locations:
Ockbrook • Borrowash • Draycott • Risley • Spondon • West Hallam • Castle Donington
We are incredibly excited about what the new academic year will bring, with new pupils joining us, existing pupils progressing through their training and another year of opportunities, experiences and memories waiting to be created.
Whether your child is taking their very first steps into dance and performing arts or continuing a journey they have been enjoying for many years, we cannot wait to welcome everyone back.
Thank You
Finally, we would like to say a huge thank you to every Dynamicmotif family for your continued support throughout the 2025–2026 academic year.
Thank you for trusting us with your children.
Thank you for supporting their dreams and encouraging them through the challenges.
Thank you for celebrating their achievements with us.
And thank you for being such an important part of the Dynamicmotif community.
As we close another chapter, we do so with enormous pride in everything our pupils have achieved.
To our graduates, we say good luck and wish you all continued success.
To all of our returning pupils, we say enjoy your summer and get ready for another fantastic year.
And to those joining us for the first time in September, welcome to the Dynamicmotif family.
Here’s to another year of dance, drama, singing, friendship, confidence, achievement and memories.
Have a wonderful summer, and we look forward to seeing you all again in September!
