Primary Plus Ballet

Suitable for children aged 8 years and over without prior experience.

Our Primary Plus Ballet Classes (for boys and girls) are aimed at slightly older children. Each week children continue to build on the foundations of Classical Ballet technique whilst working towards the IDTA examinations (if they want to).

These classes allow pupils to explore the IDTA Primary Ballet syllabus progressing to Grade One. At this level pupils continue to explore the wonderful world of Ballet through lots of fun unique games and activities developing strength, flexibility, knowledge and team working skills. There are also lots of opportunities for pupils to take part in community performance events as well as our own annual Recital and summer showcase.

Dynamicmotif Associates

Age 17+ | Year 13 / Sixth Form | Pre-Graduate Training

Our Dynamicmotif Associates class in Draycott, Derbyshire is a specialist programme designed exclusively for pupils in their final year of training at Dynamicmotif Dance & Performing Arts Academy. Open to students aged 17 and above, this class is tailored for those currently in Year 13 or Sixth Form, supporting their transition from academy life to higher education, professional dance training, or wider career pathways.

This class provides a unique and highly focused space where learners can consolidate all they have achieved throughout their time at Dynamicmotif. Sessions are structured to support students as they refine their technique, build confidence, and prepare for the next stage of their journey—whether within the performing arts industry or beyond.

Dynamicmotif Associates is not an exam-based class. Instead, it is a performance-led programme that reflects each student’s individual aspirations. Pupils work towards their final, signature pieces—often referred to as their “Swan Song” performances—which form a key part of our January Recital and our Annual Summer Showcase. These performances mark an emotional and memorable farewell, celebrating their graduation from Dynamicmotif and all they have achieved during their training.

Alongside performance preparation, this class also focuses on professional development. Pupils are supported with audition techniques, interview preparation, and guidance for higher education applications in dance, drama, and musical theatre. They also develop important transferable skills, including communication, confidence in self-presentation, and reflective practice, all of which will support them well in whatever path they choose to follow.

Based at our Draycott branch in Derbyshire, the Dynamicmotif Associates programme is ideal for young people seeking high-level, bespoke support as they complete their final year at the academy. It is a celebratory, creative, and forward-looking experience designed to honour each pupil’s journey and help them step into their future with clarity and confidence.
