A Wonderful Start to Spring at Dynamicmotif Dance and Performing Arts Academy

The Spring Term has begun on a truly exciting and positive note here at Dynamicmotif Dance and Performing Arts Academy, with pupils across our Ockbrook, Borrowash, Draycott, Risley, Spondon, West Hallam, and Castle Donington classes enjoying a busy and inspiring start to 2026.

We are delighted to share some very special news with our academy families and local community.

At the beginning of term, we were incredibly proud to announce that Miss Jackie has successfully completed her assessments with The Royal Ballet School and is now recognised as an Affiliate Teacher of The Royal Ballet School, accredited to deliver the Royal Ballet School Affiliate Training and Assessment Programme (ATAP).

This is a significant professional achievement and an exciting step forward for classical ballet training at Dynamicmotif Dance and Performing Arts Academy.

From September 2026, we will begin offering Affiliate Programme Levels 1, 2, and 3 for children aged 6+ as part of our ballet training pathway. These new ballet classes will complement our existing IDTA ballet programme and provide pupils with additional opportunities to develop their technique, artistry, creativity, and musicality through the prestigious Royal Ballet School Affiliate Training and Assessment Programme.

Our brand-new September 2026 timetable will be released later this year, with classes available to pupils attending our dance and performing arts academy from Ockbrook, Borrowash, Draycott, Risley, Spondon, West Hallam, Castle Donington, and the surrounding Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas.

Celebrating Outstanding IDTA Examination Results

We are also incredibly proud to celebrate the fantastic results achieved during our January and February 2026 IDTA examination sessions.

All pupils achieved excellent results, with marks reaching as high as 92, and students achieving awards including Merits, Distinctions, Highly Commended, and Honours. These results reflect the hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm shown by our pupils each and every week in class.

At Dynamicmotif, we believe dance examinations provide children with valuable opportunities to develop confidence, discipline, resilience, and performance skills, and we are thrilled to see our pupils continuing to flourish across all areas of their training.

Preparing for A Year to Remember – Summer Showcase 2026

Excitement is continuing to build across the academy as preparations are now fully underway for our 2026 summer showcase, A Year to Remember, taking place at Repton Theatre on 25th and 26th July 2026.

This year’s production celebrates the many events, traditions, and special occasions that take place throughout the calendar year, taking audiences on a magical journey through the seasons and celebrations that bring families together.

From New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Pancake Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Easter, through to May Day, the Summer Solstice, Autumn celebrations, Winter Solstice, and a touch of Christmas magic, the showcase promises to be a joyful and heartwarming celebration of dance, creativity, and performance.

Rehearsals are now in full swing across all of our branches, including Ockbrook, Risley, West Hallam, and Castle Donington, and it has been wonderful watching our pupils bring these exciting ideas to life with such commitment and enthusiasm.

Dynamicmotif Dance and Performing Arts Academy continues to warmly welcome new pupils throughout the academic year, and we are still accepting new students across many of our classes.

Families looking for children’s dance classes, ballet classes, musical theatre and singing, performing arts, acro dance, contemporary dance, street dance, and IDTA dance training in Ockbrook, Borrowash, Draycott, Risley, Spondon, West Hallam, and Castle Donington are very welcome to contact us about arranging a free trial session.

Joining during the summer term can be a wonderful opportunity for children and parents to settle into the academy, build confidence, make friendships, and become familiar with class routines before the new school year begins in September.
